About
This website is owned and moderated by two brothers who like to think of themselves as crusaders against organized religion, and who champion the cause for free thought. For the purpose of saftey, we ironically go by the names “The Way” and “The Truth”. “The Light”, of course, is you the people, because without you, our cause would certainly fall on deaf ears.

The Way
Our main objective is not to debate belief or atheism, nor creation or evolution (but if you happen to post something of substance, we might get into the fray). The sole objective of this website is to demarcate a clear boundary between where religion should be practiced, and where it should not.
Very simply, we argue religion has no place in politics and education, period. We base this position on the fact that political and educational landscapes are represented by people of all walks of life; of many beliefs, thoughts, religions and of many backgrounds in general.
That being said, things such as “Faith Based Initiatives” do not in any way represent all constituents, therefore certainly alienating certain groups.
The remedy, in our opinion, is simple. If an individual or group wishes to practice a religion of their choice, then it must be practiced within a private community; be it a church, a private school, private clubs, associations, etc.

The Truth
Alternatively, public office and public schools are for the general public, and therefore should be used only to further public policy and general education respectively, and not used as a means to further push religious agendas.
We take the position that the world would be a better place without organized religion altogether, however, we also understand that a balance must exist in the favor of equitable fairness.
If we, as owners of Antireligion.com, want the right to voice our opinions here, then we must also accept the opinions of others.
However, if the religious demand the right to hold their beliefs sacred, and to practice those beliefs freely, the religious must (without exception) extended the same courtesy to those that choose not to believe, or those that choose anything counter to their beliefs.
Again, very simply, all religion, all religious beliefs, all religious agendas must be kept strictly out of public politics and public education.

The Light
With a website like “antireligion.com” it may come off, at first, that we are real player haters; point in fact, although we hold the ideal that organized religion should disappear, we respect the rights of others to pursue such endeavors, we just ask to keep religion out of politics and education.
To that end, we feel it’s important to share some statements that speak to, and shed light on, our objectives. These can be viewd as a mission statement or statement of our philosophy.
